Put Some "Sole" into Your Holidays!

Is this a documentary on Big Foot? No, it's my Holiday Show about Reflexology! A wonderful guest, Nancy Zitko, gives us lots of information about this ancient alternative therapy.
WARNING: I bare it all from the ankle down...scary. And really, did everybody need to know that I was wearing a black undergarment???

Football Training Season

Basic agility, balance and coordination drills make this an important workout. It was 85* and humid when we taped this. Midway through the taping, a huge sanitary truck drove up and started cleaning port-a-johns. We had to cut and wait. Then a chainsaw started buzzing loudly very close to us! It was so funny. My football catch looks great ~ what you don't see is when Jimmy threw it to me and it hit me and rolled away! Just a fun, goofy time!

"Get Tight but Stay Loose"

This exercise adventure focuses on strengthening the core muscles and stretching the entire body. Proper alignment and breathing is emphasized. Try really hard not to focus on my hair. It's kind of obvious that I didn't! The moves are easy to follow and I hope that you enjoy it!

Time Travel

This show is about Time Travel. A great guest coupled with Dave's special effects, make this show lots of fun! I hope that you enjoy the information. If you look closely, you'll see that I spilled water down my shirt right when the tape started rolling. The spot didn't dry until the end of the show. It's always something...

Check with your doctor before starting an exercise program...

Commit to Be Fit #2 has arrived! Pat Sanders and I discuss the reasons why checking with your doctor before starting an exercise program is important. Listen as Pat explains in detail many conditions that doctors may look for when evaluating a person who is just beginning a fitness routine. Watch as my hair appears to be styled after a cotton candy cone and see my wardrobe malfunction toward the end of the exercise segment. Get with the program and keep me posted!

Take the Challenge!

Welcome to Commit to Be Fit. I'm Suzi Smith. Thanks for visiting this site. I will be taping fitness shows every month on BPTV (bethelpark.net) and posting them here. So, please check back often. The shows are designed to motivate, educate and help you on your way to feeling better. It's a very non-threatening format and anyone can get started. I will be showing the proper way to perform basic exercises that will make you feel better about yourself and improve your strength and flexibility. Please feel free to email me at fitnessbptv@aol.com with any questions or comments. We are all volunteers at BPTV, not professional TV personalities. It is truly reality programming. It is very difficult for me to be in front of cameras talking about my passion for health and fitness. So much so in the beginning, that I could hear my throat whistling while closing shut as I was trying to speak. When I think about it, I laugh. It's funny how a little thing like a camera could have such an impact and make a person afraid to move forward. Fear can control our lives. My fear of cameras could have kept me from taking advantage of this "once in a lifetime" opportunity of having my own show and sharing what I know in a way that makes sense to the viewer. I don't want anyone to be afraid of starting a fitness program. Once you get started properly, you will gain momentum...I promise. I'm willing to "attack adversity" and continue to do the shows to the best of my ability. I have never backed down from a challenge and I'm not going to start now! So, join me and step out of the "comfort zone" and get started on a new path. A path that allows you to participate in the activities that you choose. Learn a little bit about me and my fitness philosophy on the very first show.
