Check with your doctor before starting an exercise program...

Commit to Be Fit #2 has arrived! Pat Sanders and I discuss the reasons why checking with your doctor before starting an exercise program is important. Listen as Pat explains in detail many conditions that doctors may look for when evaluating a person who is just beginning a fitness routine. Watch as my hair appears to be styled after a cotton candy cone and see my wardrobe malfunction toward the end of the exercise segment. Get with the program and keep me posted!

Take the Challenge!

Welcome to Commit to Be Fit. I'm Suzi Smith. Thanks for visiting this site. I will be taping fitness shows every month on BPTV (bethelpark.net) and posting them here. So, please check back often. The shows are designed to motivate, educate and help you on your way to feeling better. It's a very non-threatening format and anyone can get started. I will be showing the proper way to perform basic exercises that will make you feel better about yourself and improve your strength and flexibility. Please feel free to email me at fitnessbptv@aol.com with any questions or comments. We are all volunteers at BPTV, not professional TV personalities. It is truly reality programming. It is very difficult for me to be in front of cameras talking about my passion for health and fitness. So much so in the beginning, that I could hear my throat whistling while closing shut as I was trying to speak. When I think about it, I laugh. It's funny how a little thing like a camera could have such an impact and make a person afraid to move forward. Fear can control our lives. My fear of cameras could have kept me from taking advantage of this "once in a lifetime" opportunity of having my own show and sharing what I know in a way that makes sense to the viewer. I don't want anyone to be afraid of starting a fitness program. Once you get started properly, you will gain momentum...I promise. I'm willing to "attack adversity" and continue to do the shows to the best of my ability. I have never backed down from a challenge and I'm not going to start now! So, join me and step out of the "comfort zone" and get started on a new path. A path that allows you to participate in the activities that you choose. Learn a little bit about me and my fitness philosophy on the very first show.
